The Final Stretch

As the year winds down and things start to cool off from assignments to exam studying, it is important to focus on priotities to be able to get everything done in a timely manner. As I have been dealing with GERD symptoms, it has been harder for me to put forth my full effort in many aspects of my life as I am still trying to manage the symptoms and organize my life in a healthy way to reduce the symptoms to increase my quality of life. Stress and anxiety typically make my symptoms flare up more often than not, which during the final stretch of the semester, stress and anxiety are at the top of my mind with how I move forward. As far as outside of school, managing work and activities with friends has been a big priority of mine, especially hanging out with friends as it helps to rely on my support system during hard times like this.     While I have many projects juggling in the air from the development and marketing of Scenario the game created by Gabe Ha...

Thanksgiving Time Management Pow-wow: A Typical Rant

Image
While Thanksgiving break is approaching, it is more so a break from actually going to class rather than a break from everything in general. I have work all next week, on top of multiple final papers for class to work on, on top of marketing for a new album I am dropping, Scenario, and the Hardin County Community Foundation. To say the least I'm just glad I don't have to waste my time driving to class every day next week, eating up over two hours of my day practically.      I am however excited to be able to see friends and family over the break to enjoy some festivity and good food. Another thing I am excited about is the comfort of being in my home and able to put myself to the tasks I had previously mentioned. It's really easy to tell myself while I'm leaving campus for home, that I will work on a project or paper when I get home, just to be tired and want to relax after taking the long drive.     With the assignm...

Scenario: Beta Testing and Content Strategizing

Image
As Scenario is approaching the final release date of January 1st, the focus will shift onto my colleagues and I's ability to analyze the indie-gaming industry and leveraging social platforms like TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Reddit. This will ensure we can connect with the target demographic of 15-35 year old gamers who love challenging titles from independent game developers. The key aspect of marketing to ensure a solid release to reach our goal of 7,000 wishlists on Steam marketplace, we must focus on the developer of the game to be more authentic with the creative processes and personalities involved in the project. This will not only boost the conversion of individuals who wish to purchase the game, but will also lead to the creation of niche communities surrounding the creators themselves.     To ensure the release is effective, our main leveraging point is word of mouth awareness by providing access keys to the game upon release ...

Hardin Co. Foundation: Updates and Moving Forward

As the semester begins to close and assignments from other classes are out of the way, I feel like Spencer and I can actually start dedicating a lot more time towards working on the plan and strategies for increasing awareness of the foundation through social media. The main concern we have moving forward is aesthetical, as the types of content we have in mind has begun to come to fruition, but the color scheme and other factors that influence physical appeal are still in the works. As far as the content goes, we will most likely not be posting until after the semester is over, but rather giving the company the tools they need to move forward in creating content for themselves with the knowledge we helped them gain.      The content so far is consistent of four styles of posts that are to be uploaded at least twice a week in the evenings to Facebook, Instagram, and potentially LinkedIn if the organization deems it necessary. We chose this sort of mode...
